If you want to drive trucks in the Netherlands professionally you must take a course with code 95 (initial qualification, kwalifikacja Wstepna). This training is completed with a government-approved exam.

Training

The CBR will send the RDW the Certificate of Periodic training (Verklaring van Nascholing, or VVN in Dutch) when you have completed the periodic training. You must then renew the code 95 indication on your Dutch driving licence with your municipality.
Exams
In accordance with directive 2003/59/EC bus drivers (categories D1, D1E, D) or tractor trailer, truck or commercial vehicle drivers (categories C1, C1E, C, CE) who provide transport services on a daily basis are required to undergo the course of Code 95. After the 35-lecture theoretical training course is completed, a Code 95 certificate or licence is issued. This is valid for five years. This permits drivers to operate commercially in the European Union for both goods and passengers.
The Code 95 training consists of two parts: theory and practice. In the theory classes you will learn to operate an tachograph, the driver's rights and responsibilities and first aid, the procedure to pass customs checks and more.
